Oricon Chart Ranking: Tsuyoshi's Atama no Naka is No. 7 on Fashion Books Chart for 1st half of 2009

Tsuyoshi's Atama no naka is No. 7 (with sales of 52,168) on the Oricon Chart for Fashion Books for 1st half of 2009. For those who haven't bought the book yet, I would highly recommend that you grab a copy. The photographs track Tsuyoshi through his twenties and you have the gorgeous and kawaii Tsuyoshi during 2004, the plump and moustached Tsuyoshi during 2006, the less plump and thank goodness moustache-less Tsuyoshi during 2007-8, in all his various shapes and styles. This is really a must-have for Tsuyoshi's fans.

Domoto Brothers 400th Episode Live Concert on 23 Aug!!!

YEAH YEAH YEAH! Domoto Brothers is going to have a live concert on 23 Aug 2009 to commemorate its 400th episode! And fans can vote their favourite 3 song that they would like to see performed again at the concert.

You can cast your vote here. You need to fill in your name, Japan city of residence and e-mail address. By the way, I have "claimed" Tokyo to be my city of residence! Hehehehe! You can click on the red words beside each year to open up the list of songs performed in Domoto Brothers in that year. Just click on the checkbox for the songs you want to vote for. I voted 2 times! My choices were Shirushi (performed by Tsuyoshi), Hajimari wa itsumo ame (performed by Tsuyoshi), The Night Before Your Birthday (performed by KinKi Kids and 篠原ともえ - that gal with the shrill voice who did Love Love Aishiteru with them), Anniversary, Hakka Candy 薄荷キャンディー and Renrui 恋涙. If all the other fans are voting like me, I think this will become a KinKi Kids concert! Lol!

Oricon Chart Singles Ranking For 1st Half of 2009

The Oricon chart singles ranking for first half of 2009 is out! KinKi Kids' Yakusoku is No. 10 with sales of 210,510. Congratulations to KinKi Kids!

Tsuyoshi's single 空～美しい我の空 also made it to No. 47 with sales of 63,015. Unfortunately, his album and DVD both didn't make it into Top 50 for the album and DVD ranking charts. Oh well, he did say that he didn't expect the sales to be too good as his new music style is unconventional. I hope more and more people will be willing to give Tsuyoshi's music a chance and listen to it. It's that type of music better appreciated when you are alone quietly sitting in your room or driving on a long empty road. The only qualification would be that you be careful not to fall asleep whilst driving cuz his music is quite sleep-inducing!!! Hahahaha!

Koichi's solo concert schedule for 2009 is finally out!

After last year's KinKi you concert, I guess it is expected that this will be the solo year. After all, Koichi hasn't had a solo concert for the last 3 years since 2006. Koichi's solo concert schedule is finally out! Surprisingly, there are very few performances, only 15 in total. Fans of course are speculating that there will be further add-ons later.

Amazing how Tsuyoshi performs so beautifully the songs of other artistes!

This is a compilation of Tsuyoshi's performances of other artistes' songs. The songs are not really in any sequence. Maybe more like the ones I like better are placed at the top of the list! :P I will update this list as and when I come across any other video clips.

I am always so amazed by Tsuyoshi's renditions of other artistes' songs. This is probably not the first time I've said it but it's worth repeating. You know...when you've heard someone else perform a song already, the tendency is just to imitate how the original artiste sings it. However, not so for Tsuyoshi. He always seems to imprint his own style and intepretation into the songs. Of course some might say that his renditions are not as good as the original artiste's. After all, liking is subjective and the original artistes are all very good and talented singers. The ones that Tsuyoshi performed during his junior days were, I have to admit, not that good as his singing was then still not good. However, you must not miss the more recent ones such as Shirushi, Hajamari wa itsumo ame and I love you. Tsuyoshi sings them beautifully.
