KinKi Kids World is for all English-speaking KinKi Kids fans who, despite the language barrier, have found themselves falling in love with KinKi Kids and their music, this is my humble attempt to bring us all closer to the world of KinKi Kids - Domoto Tsuyoshi 堂本刚 (244) and Domoto Koichi 堂本光一(51).

The contents of this blog are based primarily on contents found in other Chinese blogs, as I have only just started learning Japanese (which is とても むずがしです i.e. very difficult). I wish to thank all the Chinese Kinki Kids fans for their hard work and efforts in translating the Japanese materials/information on the KinKi Kids.

KinKi Kids' New Single No. 28 Yakusoku 約束 PV is out!!!

When I first saw the PV, I have to admit I didn't know what to think...it just looked like a media player visualisation, with white and black bobs moving randomly around and no KinKi Kids in sight for about 40 seconds. It looks like this.

I was actually half-dreading that we wun even see much of the faces of KinKi Kids. Fortunately, the wait was worth it. KinKi Kids looked real good in the black and white setting! I guess a man no longer needs colours to bring attention to him. Instead, a man's strength and appeal stands out even more in a stark environment. Both Koichi and Tsuyoshi have really grown into themselves. The PV feels like the universe has been stripped to its very elements, with only the two of them left. This mood echoes the lyric lines in this song which roughly translated mean nobody else can enter into the world where there's the two of them.

Don't you think Tsuyoshi and Koichi look like warlocks who are controlling the elements around them in the above pics! Too bad they dun have the blue or red eyes in this PV!

And these next two are my favourite shots in this PV, especially the close-up of Koichi. He looks so sensual with his eyes closed.

Finally, after having my full of KinKi Kids *sigh in contentment*, even the white and black bobs have transcended into something poetic and symobolic (blame my literature training for being able to make a thesis out of bobs! :P) .

It's an interplay of light and darkness, of exact opposites. Now, doesn't that sound familar to you?!?! *fufufufu* And in the closing scene of the PV, the light and the darkness converge into one. Need I say more?! *blink blink* *fufufu*

This last pic is here purely for the comic effect. Dun you think Koichi looks like he has 2 dumbo ears and Tsuyoshi has a big Aladdin lamp stuck to the back of his head?! Hahahahahaha!!!

Hi Christina,

I saw a lot of comments on the PV and many didn't like or didn't understand it. However, I share your sentiments. The dots are the universe and in this universe there are 2 of them. Together the dots move and forms many grahic effects which symbolizes possibilities. The simplicity is a mode to transit into adulthood where there should be more depth and thoughts and I hope their fans grow together with them to appreciate their maturity. They really want the song to stand out rather than their faces therefore movements are minimal to avoid distraction.

Just my thoughts.

Rosalind

Notice you have been very hardworking lately, updating and changing banner with the latest pics.

Keep it up.
